They came, they crawled and they got dirty at the Bad Azz Truck Expo.
The sixth annual Bad Azz Truck Expo was held over the weekend, and was labeled a success.
“It went well,” said Bad Azz Truck Expo founder and promoter Ron “Buzz” Possehn. “Saturday was an excellent day. It was pretty packed.”
Some of the more successful events over the weekend were the mud bog and play bog, where trucks got dirty at the back of the Ionia Free fairgrounds.
“The mud bog and play bog were huge,” said Possehn, adding that the bogs are one of the more popular events at the truck expo.
The Bad Azz Truck Expo holds six events in two days, and Possehn said that volunteers and sponsors helped make the event what it was.
“It’s something unique,” said Possehn. “All the people I talked to said nobody does what we do. The volunteers and the sponsors, it could not have happened without them. There are a lot of people behind this show, and they are all good people.”
Possehn said that they are hoping to make the Bad Azz Truck Expo bigger and better for next year, and are looking at possibly making the event earlier so it does not conflict with other events.
“That is what we are striving for, to make it huge,” said Possehn.
